Mandish Dhanjal is a Consultant Obstetrician, Gynaecologist and Maternal Medicine specialist at Queen Charlotte’s and Chelsea Hospital, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. She has also trained in general medicine and worked in obstetric critical care in Cape Town. She leads care delivery for pregnant women with medical problems and has developed an obstetric high dependency unit delivering non-invasive ventilation. She leads training for maternal medicine and developed the UK Obstetric Neurology course. She chairs the NW London Maternal Medicine Group leading network development, co-chairs the NW London Local Maternity System and is Clinical Director at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust running two outstanding maternity units as judged by the Care Quality Commission (UK regulator). She is an assessor for the UK maternal deaths enquiry and advised on standards for the UK NICE guideline on intrapartum management of medical disorders in pregnancy. She has co-authored National and European guidelines on neurological conditions in pregnancy and co-authored the Oxford specialist handbook on heart diseases in pregnancy. Her research interests include pre-eclampsia, renal, endocrine, cardiac and neurological diseases in pregnancy.
