Dr Roch Cantwell

Roch Cantwell is a perinatal psychiatrist, lead clinician for the Scottish National Managed Clinical Network for Perinatal Mental Health and vice chair of the Scottish Government’s Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Programme Board. He is the lead psychiatry assessor for the Confidential Enquiries into Maternal Deaths. He is past chair of the RCPsych Scottish and UK perinatal faculties, and chaired the SIGN guideline development group on perinatal mood disorders and the AoMRC review of mental illness and abortion. He was co-author for the RCOG guideline on the management of mental illness in pregnancy. He led the development of Scotland’s first specialist community perinatal mental health service and MBU in Glasgow in 2004
